Sweet-and-Sour Pork Skewers with Pineapple



These Sweet-and-Sour Pork Skewers with pineapple, juicy pork, and colorful vegetables are the perfect mix of sweet and sour flavors. These skewers are delicious and look great when they are grilled to perfection.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs pork loin, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, assorted colors, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup red onion, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, cornstarch, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes

Thread the pork cubes, pineapple chunks, bell peppers, red onion, and cherry tomatoes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating ingredients

Brush the skewers with the sweet-and-sour sauce, ensuring they are well-coated

Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat

Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and caramelized

While grilling, baste the skewers with additional sweet-and-sour sauce for extra flavor
